Does Getaway Guild charge service fees?
Our process is time-intensive as we take great care in each trip we plan. Our professional planning fees start at $350 and include: consultation time, destination knowledge & advice, custom itinerary creation, recommending accommodations & experiences, access to our preferred partnership benefits where applicable, booking travel arrangements, preparing & sending final itinerary & travel documents, in-travel contact & support, and guidance on important elements like entry requirements & travel insurance. We are confident that you’ll make back the value of the fee you pay to us in precious time saved and added value in your trip!
A simple hotel booking does not incur a service fee.
Air ticketing fees start at $50 per person, and include pre-travel service and 24/7 in-travel emergency service.

How far in advance should we start planning?
Some trips like safaris and cruises can be booked more than a year in advance. Most custom independent trips can be booked between 3-12 months in advance. Get in touch and we’ll discuss the best timing depending on the trip you’re after. Last-minute trip planning may incur a supplemental fee.
I just need a quick hotel reservation. Why should I call you?
Our preferred partnerships with all the major luxury hotel brands and thousands of hotels worldwide mean tangible added value for our clients, like complimentary breakfast and hotel credits, as well as intangible value like VIP status through our personal relationships. You’re never bothering us for a “small” trip or “quick” hotel reservation, and we’d hate for you to leave any added value on the table!
Do you book private villas or home rentals?
We have an extensive network of villa and home rental partners around the world. We do not work with owner-direct websites like AirBNB or VRBO; we only work with our trusted partners who offer quality control over the villas and homes we offer.
